Author

John T. Hansen is a professor of neurobiology and anatomy at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He is known for his work on human anatomy and the development of educational materials for the study of anatomy.

Hansen earned his Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Brigham Young University, and his PhD in anatomy from the University of Utah. He went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.

Hansen has authored or co-authored numerous articles and books on human anatomy, including the widely used textbook “Netter’s Atlas of Human Anatomy.” He has also developed innovative educational tools for the study of anatomy, such as the “Netter’s 3D Interactive Anatomy” software.

In addition to his work in anatomy education, Hansen is also a fellow of the American Association of Anatomists and has served on several committees related to anatomy education and research.
